Mt. Baldy Dental Center Owner, Lead Dentist, Dr. Todd House, D.M.D., P.A.

Dr. Todd House, D.M.D., P.A.

Dr. Todd House first joined Mt. Baldy Dental Center in 2000 after receiving his DMD Degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. His undergraduate education was at the University of Idaho where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. Todd then moved to Sandpoint to focus on his passion of skiing and had seasonal employment at Schweitzer and the U.S. Forestry Service. He met his wife Cari in Sandpoint, who is currently a registered nurse at Bonner General Hospital before they moved east to Pennsylvania to continue their educations.

Dr. House is very active with his dental continuing education with an emphasis in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, implant surgery, implant prosthodontics, gingival surgery and bone grafting surgery. He has attended many courses by the well respected prosthodontists Dr. Frank Spears and Dr. John Kois, the Perio Institute, and the Zimmer Institute for advanced implant training. Dr. House is a charter member of the Inland Empire Periodontal Study Club, which is dedicated to the advancement of clinical skills in periodontal and implant surgery. He is a current member of the American Dental Association and the Idaho State Dental Association.

Dr. House and his wife feel very fortunate to be part of the greater community of Sandpoint. They raise two daughters here who are very active in ski racing and are currently pursuing nursing degrees through Montana State University. When he is not doing dentistry Dr. House still enjoys spending his free time skiing, mountain biking, camping, boating and all the great things northern Idaho has to offer.

Mt. Baldy Dental Center Dentist, Dr. Greg Prins, D.M.D.

Dr. Greg Prins, D.M.D.

Dr. Greg Prins has been providing high quality patient focused care here at Mt. Baldy Dental Center since 2017. He grew up in Walla Walla and graduated from the University of Idaho with his undergraduate degree. He then moved south to Glendale, Arizona for dental school where he graduated with honors from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine.

He and his wife Amber Prins (Priest River native and local Optometrist) then moved back north to Sandpoint to start their careers and family and are proud to call the wonderful community of Sandpoint home.

They now have two young kids and love spending their free time together on the water, in the mountains, hiking, camping, fishing and enjoying the beauty of northern Idaho. Greg also loves tinkering with vintage/antique tools and machinery, among other projects he has a 1950s Willys Jeep he has fixed up to take out exploring off road.

Dental Hygienists, Shana Oellrich

Dental Hygienist

Shana began her career in the dental field in 1994 as a Registered Dental Assistant. After 10 years chair side assisting in cosmetic dentistry, public health, and a mobile dental program that provided dental sealants for underserved kids in rural Eastern Washington, she decided to return to school to become a Dental Hygienist.

In 2006, Shana graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from AIHT in Boise, Idaho. Later on, she continued her education and earned a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Oregon Tech in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Shana loves being a part of the Mt. Baldy Dental Center team, and prides herself in getting to know her patients, and providing them with compassion and quality dental hygiene care.

When she’s not working, Shana enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and traveling with her husband. They have called Sandpoint their home since 2007, and love being part of such an awesome community with a beautiful outdoor playground!

Dental Hygienist, Nikole Nelson

Nikole from dental hygiene school in 2018 from Carrington College. She was blessed for the opportunity to move back home to Sandpoint after graduation. Being a 4th generation native she always planned on settling down and starting a family in Sandpoint and has been lucky enough to do so. She currently has a daughter and another baby on the way. One of her many reasons for becoming a dental hygienist was its flexibility when raising children. Nikole also enjoys building relationships with her patients and helping guide them through a healthy oral hygiene routine.

A hobby Nikole and her husband have thoroughly enjoyed the last couple of years is scuba diving around the world. They have plans to continue this adventure throughout their lives. In the summer while her husband is fishing, she loves to sit by the water and read. Nikole also enjoys golfing even though she desperately need lessons. As much as she enjoys the summer and all the activities that come with it, Nikole LOVEs the snow! She likes snowboarding but sitting inside drinking a warm drink watching it snow outside is her favorite winter activity.

Alix originally grew up in the Snoqualmie Valley in Duvall, Wa. but has lived in Priest River with her husband and their dog for almost 4 years. She has been in dentistry for 11 years and has been doing hygiene for 8 of those years. Her mission for her patients is to make a difference in their life. She cares deeply about her patients and what we at Mt. Baldy Dental Center do to help them maintain their dental health for a lifetime, but her ultimate goal is to help them better understand their oral and systemic health connection in ways that will further impact their overall wellness. She will always continue to grow in her professional skills through continuing education and dedication to be the best at her trade.

Outside of the office Alix is passionate about natural health and wellness through teaching about nontoxic home products and essential oils, She also enjoys hiking, hunting and snowboarding in the great Inland Northwest with her husband, but her favorite part of their lives, HER DOG, she is happiest when she’s home on her 20 acres spending time with her 7 year old black lab, Indy!

Britta was born and raised in Sandpoint and moved back here a few years ago after living in Massachusetts and Oregon.

She started her career in dentistry about 20 years  ago as an assistant and has been a dental hygienist for 13 years. She loves working with a variety of patients and helping them feel confident in their smiles.

Britta enjoys all the amazing outdoor activities that Sandpoint has to offer and is having a lot of fun introducing her 4 year old son to them also. They love spending their winters on Schweitzer, swimming in the lake all summer and hiking and biking through as many seasons as possible.
